Strategic Management team of Am Badar & Partners Law Firm visited Indonesian Business Software Alliance (BSA) Office on Thursday, July 4th, 2013. Am Badar Law Firm will cooperate with Indonesian BSA Office to socialize the importance of software copyright in Indonesia, furthermore, Am Badar & Partners would offer for cooperate with BSA for registration of software copyright for BSA members.
On this visit, Zain Adnan as Country Manager of BSA Region of Indonesia gave a comic book about software copyright for Am Badar & Partners team. This comic book is distributed for free for schools and companies in Indonesia, so that they can understand about the procedure of software copyright in Indonesia.
According to data, software piracy in Indonesia has been causing economic losses about 1.4 trillion on period of 2011. Zain Adnan said, “If company, government institutions and the people of Indonesia use the original software, the Indonesian economic growth could rise to 644 million dollars”.
Zain Adnan was appointed as Country Manager of BSA Region of Indonesia on period of March 2013. He used to work as assistant manager of Bank Internasional Indonesia (BII) on period of July 2010, assistant manager of paralegal Rouse on the period of 2002-2010, senior legal specialist PT. Thiess Contractor Indonesia on the period of 2010-2013 and he was registered as Intellectual Property Attorney in Indonesia.
